This little plugin is perfect! My site is image-driven, and I did not want members to leave generic comments--only ratings and accompanying rating comments. By finding other block descriptors, such as .js-quickReply, and replacing the stock display: none; with the js descriptor, it is possible to block the generic comment window while keeping the comment list. Just brilliant.
I am doing this on both the Album view ["xfmg_media_view'] and ["xfmg_album_view'] pages by cloning and editing the script as described. Combine that with a 'force comment with rating" function, and it's all good!
